Second time here. My girlfriend has made me promise to stop here every time we are near! Service and food were amazing again. Don't let the exterior fool you. This place is top shelf.

My parents live in fond du lac WI. A town that loves their chain restaurants. So unless you love Applebee's, Hardee's or Buffalo Wild wings... There is not much else here in terms of good local restaurants. But, the Green Dragon is a very solid find! Good local beer selection. Well done bistro/bar food. It's a great mix of small town Wisconsin bar and a Gastropub. So if your in fond du lac, check this place out! Unless you want Chinese food. This place does not have Chinese food.

Passing through town on the way up north. Another great Yelp find. Totally solid food, super friendly staff, interesting 1970s decor, amazing beer selection. If you find yourself in the area looking for a place to eat, I would highly recommend visiting. Our waitress was really friendly and the air-conditioning was cold. A perfect combination for a hot Wisconsin day. The only thing that made it better were the excellent white cheddar cheese curds. My Caesar salad was very fresh. My son ordered a beet salad, also super fresh, crispy and cold. Definitely an interesting menu and a unique quirky place. Check it out and you will agree. Totally worth the extra few minutes driving into town and skipping the "traditional" highway fare.

We stopped in and took two seats at the bar. It took almost 15 minutes for a server to even acknowledge us. They provided us with a beer list and then disappeared for another 10 minutes. A bit disappointing to say the least. I must say the beer selection was solid but the lack of service ruined our experience. We didn't get a chance to eat because we were annoyed and left after our first beer. I'll give the place another chance when I'm back in FDL and hopefully the service has improved. I really want to like this place since it's in the old Oscars location and I went there with my parents as a kid most Friday nights.

Food is exceptional for a sports bar. Mine was really spicy, but that's my preference anyways. The vegetarian burger came with jalapeños on it; high quality patty, not a not a Boca Burger. Delicious but also not a diet food - it was crispy like it had been pan fried in oil. My husband had the fries - they are like broasted potato slices, and they come with a good amount of Cajun spice on them. The food was slow to come out, but tasty enough I didn't let it affect the review.

Finally a great new place in Fond Du Lac with good food and great Brews!! The staff is friendly and you'll recognize some from your favorite places around town! Prices are in line with what you'll get and the menu is very unique! Also, one owner is a Brewmaster and the other a Chef!

Highly recommended!! Won't look like much on the outside but the food is on point! The schnitzelwitch is more than your stomach and taste buds can handle! Must stop at the dragon! Steak sandwich, balsamic flatbread pretzel chicken, and the famous schnitzelwitch(sp?) all were amazing.

Our host & waitress were fantastic! We came on a Saturday afternoon so it wasn't busy. Perfect for going with kids! Ordered the onion ring appetizer & we all loved it! I ordered the shepherds pie appetizer for my entree-soo tasty!! Puff pastry cups filled with meat & potatoes. The kids meals are INCREDIBLY generous! So impressed! Can't wait to come back & eat more off this menu!

Heading north out of the 414 confines usually means saying goodbye to my beloved adult bevy of choice: delicious craft beer. As beautiful and serene as Wisconsin is, the beer selections in the smaller villes is meager. When I ask, "What've you got for craft beers?" the reply is usually "Oh, we've got Leinie's and a new one from Shock Top." They mean well. They really do. But that reply makes me sputter apoplectically. "That that's nnn nn nnnoott craf craft b-b-b-beer!!" *slams fist on bar* Oh well. There's nothing wrong with cold High Life when roughing it. However, there's a new place in Fond du Lac that knows beer nuts don't only live in Madison and Milwaukee. The Green Dragon BrewPub rocks the craft beer scene as well as any big city bars. In fact, in some terms, they may even top it. On draft at all times, unless one sells out, are 16 very unique crafts. During my recent visit, out of the 16, I had only previously tried one or two. That's pretty unusual as I've tried more than my fair share (since I started logging unique beers into the Untappd app, I'm around 800). And if nothing on tap suits your fancy, there's a hundred or so different bottles from which to choose. All kinds of good stuff. And what pairs well with good beers? Chicken wings! The Green Dragon could enter one of Milwaukee's annual wing contests and be a contender. Their wings are "triple fried 'til super crispy" and are available with a plethora of zippy sauces. The other food I spied looked pretty good too, but hey, I'm a wing nut. I'll probably get the wings every time I visit, so you'll have to read someone else's review to get the low-down on the grub. Lastly, what makes The Green Dragon super cool is its decor. Before it became a BrewPub (sic) it's clear that this was a bar for many years before. Decades even. (Oscar's, I believe it was called.) So it's got a great vintage 60's type bar and the original backbar and coolers. It's been updated with a deep cleaning, new HVAC system, and nice big flat screens on which to watch the game. The next time I'm at the foot of the lake, you can be sure I'll be tickling my lips with zingy wings and tasty suds at the Green Dragon BrewPub. I recommend it highly. Check it out.

I was recently in this town for a weekend and visited this restaurant twice because we liked it so much. They have a large selection of beers both on tap and bottled, many local to the area. The first day we went I had a veggie burger and he had the schnitzelwich. The veggie burger was fantastic. It tasted house made and was far from the frozen patties that some restaurants will serve. The schnitzelwich was so good that he ordered it again on our next trip. The second trip I had the turkey club, which has avocado and was very yummy. The front isn't marked very well and it looks like a dive. Don't be put off! Also, there's a room when you first walk in that looks a little trashy/sketchy. Keep walking: the main part of the restaurant is much more nice.

Great Sunday bloodies. They have vanilla Stoli!! Food is good. Try the dragon balls.

The hand breaded chicken tenders are delicious, and you can mix and match the dipping sauces to get an array of flavors. The beer list is endless and the food is always hot. Not a fan of the French fries though. They're too big and dry for my taste. They should offer other forms of fries maybe.

My wife and I came in around 6:00 on a Saturday and had a short 25 minute wait for a table. We didn't mind at all as that is fairly typical for a weekend. This also gave us time to sample their great beers on tap and their well-crafted mixed drinks. I had a Fatty Boombalatty by Furthermore, a great Belgian style ale that they moved a little more towards an IPA, but it still had low bitterness. Great beer - very drinkable and it paired very well with my pork shank dinner. My wife is more of a mixed drink person and our friend had mentioned how good their Hand Muddled Old Fashioned's were. It turned out to be a super recommendation and she said it was one of the best Old Fashioned's she has had - high praise in Wisconsin! The atmosphere is casual at the Green Dragon, but the food is anything but that. The menu is varied and well thought out. All of the dishes we had were excellent. This is one of the best restaurants in FDL. Our friendly server let us to our booth and I immediately ordered their Dragon Eggs ($8.99). Dragon Eggs are Scotch Eggs and these were simply fantastic. I've always wanted to try scotch eggs, but had never had the opportunity. Hard boiled eggs wrapped in pork sausage, breaded, then deep fried and served with greens and a brown ale honey mustard. This is one of my all-time favorite appetizers. Very much recommended. Next came our entrées. Flemish Pork Shank ($24.99) and Jaeger Schnitzel ($12.99). The Flemish Pork Shank, was the most expensive item on the menu and was a deal at that price! The menu describes it as a 22oz. pork shank slowly braised until fork tender, served with sour cream and chive mashed potatoes, garlic sauteed green beans and topped with a Monk's Cafe cherry demi glace. As wonderful as that sounds the reality is even better. The pork was moist, meaty and very well seasoned. The potatoes were a little on the dry side, but I added some of the left over honey-butter from my warm roll. The cherry glacé was the perfect sauce for the shank. The Jaeger Schnitzel was a good as any we've had in Germany - and better than some. Described as a Juicy pork loin cutlet dusted with seasoning and fried until crisp. Served with German potato pancakes, braised cabbage and apples and topped with a rich stout and crimini mushroom gravy, the flavor was classic German comfort food. Execution and presentation were spot on. Not normally dessert people, the choices at the Green Dragon just looked too good. We decided to share an order of their Bourbon Apple Pie ($3.99). Hand made there with Granny Smith apples and Knob Creek Bourbon. The warm pie was topped with whiskey caramel and real, fresh whipped cream. It was so good. We will definitely try other desserts on our next visit. A second visit with a group of eight on a Friday evening, a week later, found no drop in quality or service. The potato chip crusted shrimp ($13.99) were slightly over done, but still delicious. The sour cream and chive sauce was a nice, refreshing change from traditional cocktail sauce. Beer battered cod ($8.99) was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. A friend let me try a bite of her steak sandwich ($12.99). It was tender and the roasted peppers really added a fantastic smokey taste note.

My only regret is that I only have one stomach to give to this dinning experience. Everything we had here was great. Great service too.

My very first time and I was very pleased. I'm a music lover and all the different genres were playing while I was there it was great. It wasn't loud n crazy like a regular bar and the environment was wonderful. My server (forgot to ask her name lol), was extremely helpful finding something to eat and so friendly and polite. My breakfast was delicious! I had the western skillet and I was expecting greasy spoon like food and it wasn't at all. My server made sure my eggs were perfect (over medium no slime ) and it was great. All over I'll be going back. Next time will be a non work day so I can try one of their famous bloody Mary's and dragon eggs.

Great experience. We went for lunch on a Sunday. Enjoyed the Bloody Mary special. That was great! Service was excellent. Food was very good. We enjoyed the atmosphere. We can't wait to go back and try some of the other menu items. I would definitely recommend going here.

The best cheese curds I have had in a long time. The option to have the sauce for my wings on the side was awesome. Plus they had a great selection of beer on tap. Highly recommend stopping here. We just happened to stumble across this place on a road trip.

Really good food and a nice selection of craft beer. I tried the bacon and cheeseburger soup. Really good. Wings were not really hot and service slow at times, but the staff was really nice and that made up for any inconsistency. Great place to go if you are at EAA Airventure.

Great bar food. Large portions, good flavor, wide beer selection, friendly service, and good prices. Also this place has the feeling of a small town bar you would find in a larger town.

Awesome food, beer, people! Fond du lac needed a place like this! Try the dragon eggs, they are to die for.

Having moved to Fond du Lac, from Chicago, 12 years ago, I've always been disappointed in the variety, and quality, of the restaurants in town, for the most part. There have been some exceptions over the years, but there hasn't been a lot of diversity in the types of restaurants in town. Then along comes The Green Dragon. While they might not be reinventing the wheel, they are definitely pushing the boundries of the Fond du Lac dining scene, especially when it comes to pricing. In a town obsessed with cheap beer and cheap food, The Green Dragon has stuck by their guns and provides the best selection of beer within 30-40 miles, and gets a good price for it. I'd rather drink quality over quantity any day and with their ever rotating selection of beers on tap and large list of bottles and cans you can find just about any style that suits your tastes. Eventually they will be adding their own beer to that selection and I can't wait for Fond du Lac to have their very first brewpub but in the meantime, I'll gladly drink the great beers they are constantly getting. The only downside to this is that I will find a beer that I really like and the next time I come by it's gone, replaced by another. But chances are I'll then discover another great beer that I haven't tried before. While the beer offerings are really pusing the limit in Fond du Lac, the food is a bit safer. It's still far above what most places in town offer, but it doesn't quite push the envelope like the beer program. There's plenty to enjoy though. Their Dragon Eggs (Scotch Eggs) are great, but what's not to like about hard boiled eggs wrapped in sausage then breaded and deep fried. I like their take on the standard pretzel, using a pumpernickel dough for a nice change. I just wish the beer-cheese dipping sauce theys served with it was served warm and not ice cold. Their mango chicken nachoes is a great take on the standard nacho. In fact, of all the foods I've tried I've enjoyed all but one. I tried the Pretzel Crusted Chicken breast. Unfortunately the pretzels they used weren't crushed enough and by the time the chicken was cooked through the pretzels were almost burnt and pretty grease logged. Not enjoyable. But again that is just one dish out of most of the menu that I've tried so I can't complain. I might be a little harsher on this place if it wasn't located in Fond du Lac, but I'm so thrilled to have a place that is different that I'm willing to overlook a few minor issues. Overall though, no matter where this place would have set up shop they'd be good in my book.

Beer selection is awesome. Food is fantastic and the atmosphere is great. Staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the beer selections if you can't decide. Definately a place we like to frequent.

We were up in Fond du Lac volunteering for the Mission of Mercy and found this place on Yelp. The bar tender was fantastic and had a Chicago Blackhawks logo shaved into his head. The service was fantastic and the bar tender provided great recommendations and offered several tastes to make certain we would be happy with our choices. The fish fry with the potato pancakes were classic and the beer selection was impressive. I would put this on your must visit list if you are traveling through the area. Finally the prices were outstanding for the value your received. A perfect evening after a long day at Mission of Mercy.

Happened by here twice in the same week, and have been pleasantly surprised both times. The atmosphere and decor are very laid back and comfortable with a very nice modern look. The food had been excellent. The veggie patty is home made and really superb. I'll come back if I'm back in the area.

My wife and I ate here last week and it was delicious! We got onion rings that were as big as my face and the fish was properly beer battered. Service is coming along; it's a new place so they're still figuring things out. The beer list is phenomenal, probably one of the top 5 beer lists north of Milwaukee. Can't wait to try their microbrew.

This pub has a huge selection of beer and their menu items sound fabulous! We had the Green Dragon Bloody Mary which comes with a new garnish assortment every Sunday. I highly recommend the medium blend which is half their regular mix and half their spicy mix. You will not be disappointed. Plus, the owner, Dave, is the former owner of O' Davey's. I had their bacon cheeseburger which comes on a beer bun they bake on the premises. The pizza burger is also fabulous, along with the potato wedges!!

Wonderful dinner! My boyfriend had the New York strip.. It was the nights special with mashed and green beans. It melted in your mouth at medium rare! I had the pretzel crusted chicken with German potato pancakes and green beans. Such unique flavors! It also came with white cheese potato bacon soup! I could have eaten the entire pot!! Angie was a wonderful waitress! She knew the beers and made suggestions on what to try, even bought us samples! For dessert we had pumpkin cheesecake! It was some of the best I've ever had! We will be coming back!

the beer selection was great, as was the rest of the bar items. the area with the pool table and couches was cool but nobody seemed to be using it. the food was very good but the schnitzel could use more of that gravy.
